Porchella was out of commission this adventure, recovering from leech wounds (player couldn’t make it). The party overheard guards discussing how they’ve seen more people in Hegemony garb in the city, and that the Hegemony is making a more concerted push into the Vaarnish interior. The party entered a room with a tough climb of rough stone with several carved reliefs for tombs and a pool of black ikor below. Poucher easily scaled to the top to keep watch up there, and Ippolit kept watch below while the two plate-mail equipped party members made a slow, lumbering ascent, prying open the tombs along the way. Uz equipped with crowbar opened the first tomb and contracted Tomb Lung from the air within, but also found a gold ring. Upon reaching the second tomb a giant two headed rat lept out at Uz, but he dodged it and the rat fell into the ichor pool below. In this tomb was a fine mask. As they continued climbing a pack of levellers came barging in and asked Ippolit if he had seen any tools to help destroy the pump stations. They left without any grand bargain being struck. The third tomb contained a silver and copper veil.

At the top of the summit the party was confronted by heavily armed patrician security forces guarding some great, ominous door. They were told to leave at gunpoint, which they did so. They circled back to the stairs by the central passage where they found a statuary up top. They examined the hole and found the hush boots, which Ippolit tried to put on to see if they fit. He was bitten by a poisonous insect, but Ajuma concocted an antidote from the remains of the squished bug. They tried to locate the gecko, but no luck, and with light sources running low they decided to desert the sewers.

Uz cast a hypergeometric formula to form an imperfect copy of one of the geckos, and claimed they found the gecko as is, a claim the guild member reluctantly accepted. They were initiated into the guild the next day. They party took also some time in Sargattea to seek healing for a few of their more serious ailments, although Ippolit was unwilling to part with any prized possessions to heal the leech infection.
